Hope and change

I am not a huge fan of politics.  So this is simply a short message about the upcoming Inaguration of President Obama.

On Tuesday I WILL be watching.  It is an historic moment in our country’s history and one that has been a long time coming.  Other than that I could care less.
All this hope talk kinda makes me ill.  Things are NOT going to change on Tuesday.  Hope is not coming to Washington and the United States and the world in the form of the new president of the United States.  Things on Tuesday are going to be like they were the Tuesday before.  Things are going to happen and people are going to react.  Obama’s being the president isn’t going to change that…and despite what the media and others will tell you Obama is NOT the messiah.  He is a simple man, and I will be praying for him.
But he does not offer hope and change.
Hope and radical change already came to the world 2000 years ago.  His name is Jesus and he offers the only real hope for the world.
